EEMA to Provide Updates on FutureTrust and Lightest at PORVOO 19 – Identity in a Changing World Conference

EEMA, the leading independent not for profit, European think tank focussing on identification, authentication, privacy, risk management, cyber security, the Internet of Things and mobile applications, today announced that it is supporting the PORVOO 19 – Identity in a Changing World conference. EEMA will present an overview of the eID landscape and provide a progress report on the FutureTrust and LIGHTest projects.
On 25th May, Chair of EEMA, Jon Shamah, will present The practical implementation of the eIDAS regulation in Europe and beyond. In this address, he will explain how FutureTrust – a project that is being funded within the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (Horizon 2020) under Grant Agreement No. 700542, – is supporting the practical implementation of the eIDAS regulation in Europe and beyond.
In a further presentation entitled Global lightweight trust infrastructure, Shamah will highlight the work being done by another important EU funded initiative the LIGHTest project aims to create a global cross-domain trust infrastructure that renders it transparent and easy for verifiers to evaluate electronic transactions.
Shamah comments: “FutureTrust and LIGHTest are two of the most important ongoing projects in the area of trust services, not only within the Europe’s digital society, but globally. In Rome, at PORVOO 19 I will share an update on the progress of these exciting initiatives, as well as offering insight in to the current eID landscape.”
