Global MSC Security Commissioned by Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead to Advise on New Surveillance System

Global MSC Security today announced that it has been commissioned by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM) to advise and support the procurement of a new high-definition public space surveillance camera system across the whole of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.

A budget of £1.3 million has been approved by the council for this significant enhancement to its camera system, which includes the replacement of analogue infrastructure with IP wireless transmission and a new stairwell camera system at multi-story car parks at Hines Meadow, Broadway, Stafferton Way and Victoria Street.

Cllr Jesse Grey, cabinet member for environmental services (incl. parking and flooding) at the Royal Borough, explains: “We are investing £1.3 million into upgrading our CCTV network as part of our wider commitment to doing what we can to maintain and enhance the safety of residents, visitors and businesses in the borough.”

“The new state-of-the-art wireless system will be monitored all day, every day, throughout the year, enhancing coverage across the borough and providing greater support to Thames Valley Police.”

Derek Maltby, MD of Global MSC Security says: “This project follows a comprehensive review of the boroughs security system infrastructure by Global MSC Security’s specialist team. We are proud to be taking this forward and working with the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to help improve the safety and security of residents, visitors and businesses in the towns across borough.”

The new system is expected to be in operation by the end of 2018.
