A Call for Papers has been made for the ISSE 2018 conference, which this year focuses on ‘Securing Future European Business through Digital Transformation’. Now in its 20th year, ISSE will feature a two-day programme of presentations and discussion regarding the technical, commercial, organisational, legal and political challenges for information security, as well as privacy and data protection. ISSE 2018 takes place on 6th and 7th November and is being organised by EEMA – a not-for-profit, independent, pan-European association. It will be hosted by IBM Security Benelux in Brussels, Belgium, and run in partnership with the international IT and information security cluster – LSEC.
Submitting a successful Call for Papers for ISSE 2018
Proposed presentations should run for a maximum of 20 minutes, with original research, position papers and end-user case studies particularly encouraged. EEMA is also welcoming submissions for one-hour panel debates (to include three participants and Chair).

Chair of EEMA, Jon Shamah, comments: “ISSE attracts the most eminent speakers and delegates from industry, government and the academic world. The conference is the ideal forum for the dissemination, qualification and discussion of European Commission security objectives and policy directions.” Shamah adds: “At ISSE 2018 we will address the technical and political challenges involved in converting government policy into commercial reality in today’s security sector and the commercial ramifications.”
The Call for Papers will close on Friday 27th July and successful applicants will be notified by 22nd August. All speakers will be given a free entry to ISSE 2018 and nominated guests will be eligible for a 50% discount.
